When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always yearn to return.

Tricky landing

The 747's landing gear are about 43 ft. wide.  The runway in the above pics is only 50 ft. wide, instead of around 150-200 ft. like they are normally landed on.

Amazing corn maze aerial pictures

Yeah, I'm a pilot.  I like the idea of controlling a turbine-powered aluminum tube with a large portion of it's total weight made up of fuel flying at 80% of the speed of sound.

Maintenance Tip:
"Remember, you really only need two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use the WD-40. If it moves and it shouldn't, use the duct tape."

Basic Flying Rules:
Try to stay in the middle of the air. Do not go near the edges of it.
The edges of the air can be recognized by the appearance of ground, buildings, sea, trees and interstellar space. It is much more difficult to fly there.

Official Announcement:

The government today announced that it is changing its emblem from an Eagle to a CONDOM because it more accurately reflects the government's political stance.
A condom allows for inflation, halts production, destroys the next generation, protects a bunch of pricks, and gives you a sense of security while you're actually being screwed.
Damn, it just doesn't get more accurate than that.

This is all about my hobby/career of choice: flying!  There is also quite a bit of funny stuff here.  I got my Private Pilot certificate April 10, 2002,  Commercial Pilot certificate August 16, 2003,  Instrument Rating May 9, 2004, Certified Flight Instructor certificate April 8, 2005, Certified Flight Instructor- Instrument 7-20-05, and Multi-engine Rating 11-5-05
I am also in to R/C airplanes, I finished building my first R/C plane the first of June 2003, after having it for almost four years (no, it doesn't normally take anywhere near that long to build).  I started flying it in February 2004.  Since then I have picked up flying pretty good, and I am now on my fourth airplane.  I've helped two friends of mine learn to fly R/C so far.
A new interest in the field of aviation is ultralights and light experimental category planes, thanks to Robbie (I sometimes go to his place and give him a hand when he is working on his Ultra-Piet) and Dave, who has an Airbike.   I'm planning on starting construction of a light, experimental category airplane called the PB-1 PoorBoy, www.poorboyaviation.com.

This is my first site, and it is a work in progress.
Please sign my guestbook so that I will know who has looked at my site.  Thanks.   Also, please be aware that some of the jokes I have on here are a little rough.
(Sorry about the pop-ups, but what do you expect from a free site...)
